SMF Data Analysis
Analyzing SMF Data is a very common task. Not every customer can afford to (or wants to) buy some of the available SMF tools.
It’s not just a matter of interpreting the SMF data. The real challenge is comparing the many pieces of related data to provide an insight into exactly what is happening.
For example, IBM ESS DASD RMF RAID statistics: Combine data from the various RMF reports (Cache, IO Queue and ESS link) to see where the bottlenecks are.

Manage all DASD (Primary/Secondary) from one central point. Format, mirror or move DASD around.
Generate reports on DASD usage. Generate alarms when volumes are no longer in a DUPLEX mirrored status.
